Since the end of True Detective, I’ve been waiting for the the season 4 premiere of Game of Thrones and here it was. The episode seemed like a strange dichotomy of multiple feels. It was a basking of glory and celebration for the Lannisters….for their win over Stannis Baratheon at the Battle of Blackwater, their slaughter of the most of the Starks at the Red Wedding, and the up coming wedding of King Joffrey. Meanwhile, most of the Starks were grieving their losses. However, there was something strange about both situations. Even though the Lannisters were reveling in their victory, there was a feeling of uneasiness. Meanwhile, while the Starks were mourning, they all seemed to have a feeling of defiance towards authority and/or the people that have wronged them. Meanwhile, Daenerys Targaryen is doing the same thing she did last season. Watching her dragon babies grow up and walking around with her army of slave soldiers looking for cities on their continent to bow down to her cause because this needs to be dragged out as long as possible.  Read the rest of this entry »

tired-runnerIt’s finally above 50 degrees in most of the continental United States. What does that mean for most of you? Now that it’s nice: running season. Time to strap on your kicks and go running, right?

Sure, but not before working on some of the things that will be discussed, after the jump. Our topics today will be footwear and flexibility. Read the rest of this entry »

Stephanie McMahon

Wrestlemania 30 is off to a flying start, with Daniel Bryan defeating Triple H in the opening match. As you can see in the GIFs below, Triple H seemed to be all set up for the “Pedigree”, but Bryan somehow reversed out of it and took down “The Game”.

After the match, Stephanie McMahon got into the ring to slap Bryan around, and in the process distracted him enough for Triple H to attack Bryan with a chair.

America! Oh no!

America! Oh no!

I went to see “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” on the night it premiered because I am a tool.  I have to say it ranks up there as one of the better comic book movies in recent years.  Captain America of course is part of the Avengers whose movie was filled with lots of laughs and a pretty mediocre plot.  However, all the Avenger based films since then that have came out really stepped up their game. “Thor: The Dark World” was pretty amazing and I actually didn’t see “Iron Man 3” but that’s probably a good thing. Looking forward to “Hulk: Look Who’s Smashing Now”  Read the rest of this entry »

TSB Radio Episode #37

Last night Matt and Earl got their first taste of New York Mets fans ready to jump off the Shea Bridge. Regular callers @MidnightBashem and @xTomatoez weighed in while the Mets were still playing. The New York Knicks were slaughtering the Brooklyn Nets, but that didn’t stop a discussion about the Knicks sneaking into the playoffs. Matt and Earl also touched on the Final Four and gave their picks.

Yesterday, Lebron unveiled a track on the internets that caused my ears to bleed. It was, one would say, a cover of Jay-Z’s “Fuckwithmeyouknowigotit” and my first response to it before listening to it was “Oh, just in time because I’m in a terrible mood” and it definitely brought much laughter to my day. I feel like this song deserves the Baggydizzle treatment so let’s break it down.  Read the rest of this entry »

Metta World Peace may have lost his mind on Twitter today. He started tweeting out his platform and stuff he’d do if he was the president of the United States along with pictures of his head on Barack Obama’s body. I mean, he’s done some weird ass stuff before but what is happening here? Read the rest of this entry »

Going into the Elite 8, three of my Final Four predictions and Kentucky (who I said would make it if they beat Wichita State) were still alive.  As it turns out, I went 1 for 4 (c’mon, give me 2 with that Kentucky call) as Florida, UConn, Wisconsin, and Kentucky cut down the nets in their respective regions.  I’m heading down to North Texas on Friday, so before I go I’d like to give you my predictions for the 3 remaining games. Last night, the Stache Radio crew finally got to talk about real baseball. Opening day came and went for the New York Mets. Some of it good, some of it bad. But mostly bad. After falling 9-7 to the Washington Nationals, the guys talked about it, and were lucky enough to speak with Howard Megdal from Sports On Earth and Capital New York.
