By now, I’m pretty sure you’ve heard of the Ray Rice firestorm that has set a 4 alarm blaze on the internet and all news outlets. Just in case you’ve been living under a media blackout or in a cave, I will give you the gist: A video came out on Monday that showed Ray Rice pulling a Mike Tyson on Janay Palmer among other things. It was pretty horrific. For whatever reason, Paul George of the Indiana Pacers decided to notify the Twitter-verse of his controversial opinions on domestic violence:
Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh. Paul……too soon. Ray didn’t stumble and trip into a right cross to Miss Palmer’s head. You might want to take that one back. And apparently, he tried to by deleting those above tweets and then tweeting out this:
Let me apologize to the women and to the VICTIMS of domestic violence people my intent was not to downplay the situation..
— Paul George (@Yg_Trece) September 11, 2014
Naw, dog. Your intention should have been to stay away from twitter if you were going to say something like this. No, forget that and rewind it back. Your intention should have actually been “if that was my mother, sister, friend, and/or any woman that I love, the end result would have been that dude looking way worse than my knee did during a televised intrasquad scrimmage for USA Basketball”. I’m not sure if that’s 140 characters but you can figure it out.
