Dan Henderson defeated Tim Boetsch at the 28 second mark of the first round at UFC Fight Night in New Orleans. The 44 year-old MMA legend has recently looked like he was out of gas, but that was not the case tonight. A big time right hand by Hendo, followed by a devastating uppercut, ended Boetsch’s night in a hurry. Check out the KO.

The 2015 NBA Draft will be held in Brooklyn on Thursday, June 25.  The New York Knicks have the fourth overall selection in the first round, and there are many ways this can go down.  Here are a few of the scenarios that may play out:

MMA legend Ken Shamrock squares off with my favorite fighter of all-time, Kimbo Slice, on June 19 in St Louis at Bellator 138, and yours truly will be there 5 rows from the cage to witness the action.  While there are rumors that drug testing may derail this must-see bout, I’ll be making the trip to support Michael Chandler, a Missouri native who faces Derek Campos at this event.  Chandler sent me a promo code on Twitter to get some killer seats at this event, and although I didn’t use it (I wanted to get closer to the cage), it was a first-class move and I instantly became a fan.

If you’re questioning why Kimbo Slice is my favorite fighter of all-time after he pretty much got laughed out of the UFC, hear me out. Read the rest of this entry »

Kristaps Porzingis

UPDATE: I was wrong. Like the world is flat wrong.  See my apology to Kristaps here. Continue reading to see why Phil Jackson has 11 NBA Championships and I have 0.

Standing 7’1″ and weighing 209 lbs, Latvian power forward Kristaps Porzingis is rocketing up draftboards for some ungodly reason.  Hailed as a “stretch 4” with “great length”, the latest draft rumors have Porzingis going as high as 2nd overall to the LA Lakers and no lower than 5th overall to the Orlando Magic.  With his game resembling a younger, shittier version of Andrea Bargnani, Kristaps Porzingis apparently has a decent shot but struggles to grab more than 4 rebounds per game in the Liga ACB overseas.  If the New York Knicks pull the trigger on Darko Milicic 2.0 with the 4th overall pick, I am going to stop watching them for good.     Read the rest of this entry »
