This year’s version of the worst kept secret is finally out.
Three hours before the green flag is set to drop at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Roush-Fenway Racing confirmed that Carl Edwards, driver of the No. 99, will not return after the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup season.
Which left no one surprised. For months, it has been speculated that Carl Edwards would leave at the end of the season, even though at some points, it seemed as though he may re-sign with RFR.
While the NASCAR community has no idea where Edwards will end up in 2015, it is known that he will have a new home. Read the rest of this entry »
Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” has been number 1 on the pop charts for six weeks, the longest reign for any hit by a female rapper. So it was probably inevitable that Jimmy Fallon would spoof it on The Tonight Show.
Crosby, Stills, & Nash were guests on Fallon’s show last night, which prompted him to dust off his Neil Young impression, famous for such performances as “Sexy and I Know It” and “Whip my Hair.”

Oliver, who is a fan of the sport, describes how his excitement about the World Cup falls under The Sausage Principle, which dictates that if you love something, never find out how it was made.

Oliver is definitely on top form. Read the rest of this entry »
As you may have seen Thursday night, Miami Heat star Lebron James went down with cramps after the air conditioning went out late in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. James was put on the bunch for the latter part of the fourth quarter, and the San Antonio Spurs responded by torching the Heat, 110-95.
James is getting a lot of flack from the fans, but it seems that Gatorade’s Twitter account has responded with a few zingers of their own.

No, he isn’t bailing on his full-time ride in the IndyCar Series. Montoya is returning for two races with Team Penske this season. Montoya will team up with Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano at Michigan International Speedway and Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

To many, swimming at the collegiate level isn’t a big deal, but to a 21 year old man named John Servati, it was a way of life. This 21 year old man was killed during Monday evening’s tornado in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. While he was a student-athlete, he will also be remembered as a hero. He was a vibrant young man, who always had the dream to swim for the Crimson Tide.

As Monday night’s storm grew stronger and the tornado sirens began to go off, Servati did the right thing. He sought shelter with his girlfriend in the basement. What he didn’t expect was the retaining wall to give way. This young man held up the wall long enough for the love of his life to escape. Read the rest of this entry »
