Homer Bailey of the Cincinnati Reds threw his second career no-hitter tonight against the San Francisco Giants. Bailey was also the last pitcher to throw a no-hitter. Last year on September 28, 2012 he also no-hit the Pittsburgh Pirates.
The 27-year-old Bailey struck out nine and threw just 109 pitches en route to the no-no. The only other three active pitchers to have two no-hitters are Roy Halladay, Justin Verlander and Mark Buehrle.
Bailey had a perfect game going until Gregor Blanco lead off the 7th inning with a walk. With Blanco at second, Joey Votto made a heads up play and threw out Blanco trying to advance to third on a soft infield pop up.
After the jump, see Bailey’s F-Bomb in the post game interview.
