In tonight’s episode of MTV’s The Challenge: Free Agents, “Not So Trivial Pursuits” turned out to be one of the funniest episodes of the season so far.  But before we get to the LOL’s, we find out right off the bat that Theresa feels like a moron for not voting for Laurel in last week’s elimination vote.  Honestly girl, it was too little too late, and that may come back to bite you in the ass.

The people at Heavy Hydration saw the need for affordable, eco-friendly hydration products to reduce the use of plastic bottles, and decided to do something about it.  They created a line of hydration packs and stainless steel water bottles that can be used over and over again.  They sent me one of their 24oz stainless steel bottles to try out, and here’s what I think:

The Heavy Hydration 24oz black stainless steel water bottle looks cool, but does have its design flaws.  For one, it’s black, and becomes hot to the touch when left out in the sun for an extended period of time.  The caribiner is a non-weightbearing made in China clip that serves little purpose for what I’d use it for, and the carry handle is too small for my manly sausage fingers (couldn’t get past the knuckle on anything but my pinky).  If you’re into reducing your carbon footprint and saving the world from landfills overflowing with plastic bottles, and a stainless steel water bottle is up your alley, is worth a look while you shop around for the right hydration product for you.

Patrick Kane of the Chicago Blackhawks scored in overtime of game six to defeat the Minnesota Wild four games to two in the Western Conference Semi-finals.  Halfway through the overtime period, Patrick Kane pounced on the loose puck as it took a crazy carom off the glass behind Wild goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov, and roofed a backhander to give the Blackhawks the win.

Check out the awesome set of mitts on Kane.

Tonight’s Raw was another decent edition as we continue to build towards Payback on June 1st. Some matches that seemed to be lined up for Payback include a Shield vs. Evolution rematch, a Cena vs. Wyatt rematch, and Adam Rose vs. Jack Swagger. Unfortunately left off the card up until this point is Daniel Bryan. Bryan revealed in an in-ring promo tonight that he needs neck surgery this Thursday and I’m still not sure if this is just storyline or real because the situation of the WWE World Heavyweight Title wasn’t addressed on the show. Daniel Bryan was written off with a segment where he was attacked by Kane so time will tell. The matches themselves weren’t great, but storylines were advanced tonight.

What did the five fingers say to the face? Don't answer that question.

What did the five fingers say to the face? Don’t answer that question.

I apologize for the tardiness this week but how about last night’s episode? I mean, there was a lot that went down but let’s frank. There were only two things that we cared about that happened in the episode:

  1. Khaleesi and dragons!
  2. Tyrion’s farce of a trial at King’s Landing.

Yeah, there were two other storylines but they felt like they were a part of the backdrop to the bigger events in this episode. Stannis getting the backing of the Iron Bank is a nice wrinkle that Tywin and his council will have to worry about. And I’m sure no one cares about the Ramsay Bolton/Reek (Theon Greyjoy) arc. The producers really need to chill with that story line. I don’t think I’ve talked to a single person that cares about it. It’s probably been the the worst park of Game of Thrones since last season.  Read the rest of this entry »

Worst golf shot ever

In today’s final round of THE PLAYERS Championship, Richard H. Lee hit the two worst shots in the history of professional golf. While on the famous island green 17th hole at TPC Sawgrass, Lee had to hit a chip shot, but the fringe was giving him trouble.

Watch what happens as Lee attempts to blade a wedge, and then his subsequent shot.

Gillette keeps innovating shaving technology, and I keep getting a chance to try out their new stuff.  They sent me one of their new Fusion ProGlide razors with FlexBall technology, and here’s what I think about it:

Aesthetics: B+

Utility: A

Quality: A

Price/Value: B

Overall: A-

This razor is nifty, and gives you a very smooth feeling while you’re shaving.  While I at first thought the FlexBall technology was just a gimmick, it really allows you to get a better shave than a standard razor as the blades hug the curves of your face and neck.  I’m a big fan of the Gillette Fusion ProGlide with FlexBall technology.  Check out my full review (and my #ShaveFace) after the jump: Read the rest of this entry »
