The episode starts off with some drama in the Galang tribe. After acting kind and generous the first few days, Colton has returned back to his old ways. He has begun to stir up drama around the camp. He is aggressively confronting tribe members about words they’ve said and he is also bullying them. Tyson and the rest of the members of the tribe are beginning to realize that Colton is quickly becoming a cancer and may be the next one to go. As Galang is dealing with their “drama king,” the Tadhana tribe members are trying to keep themselves together after a tough loss at the immunity challenge.
The challenge at redemption island takes place with Rubert, Candice and Marissa competing to stay alive on the island. The challenge requires the survivors to move ten wooden spools through a metal obstacle course and stack the wooden spools on top of the platform on the obstacle course. The winner gets to give secret directions to the immunity idol to who ever they want. Rubert and Candice start moving quickly through the course. Just as there were two more wooden spools to stack, Rubert’s stack falls down and has to start over. As Candice wins, Rupert desperately tries to catch up to Marissa, but fails. Fan favorite Rupert says goodbye to his wife as he is the first survivor that is eliminated this season. The winner Candice gives the immunity idol directions to her husband John.

The immunity challenge follows. In this immunity challenge they are fighting for tribe immunity again and a variety of fishing gear. This challenge requires members of both tribes to barrel roll their teammates to different stations to pick up balls. The balls are collected and used to toss in holes. The tribe to get all the balls in the holes wins the challenge. Galang wins their second challenge in a row and leaves Tadhana with another heart breaking loss.
Tadhana is now in a tough situation. Their tribe is getting smaller and the once cool and collective tribe is now showing signs of panic and backstabbing. Tadhana had an alliance between all the men, but that seems to have fallen apart. John has directions to the individual immunity idol and the men in the tribe are not sure if he has it or not. At tribal counsel, Jeff asks the survivors if anyone would like to play the immunity idol and no one plays it. That means two things, either John has not found the immunity idol or he does not want to play it now. The first two votes go for John and it looks like he is in trouble. That quickly changes as the majority of votes after go to Rachel. Rachel is then sent to redemption island.

There are a few things to watch for in the next episode. Will Colton’s “drama king” antics lead to the tribe to turn against him? From a sport perspective, Colton is that one guy you don’t want in the club house. He will keep poking and poking until someone snaps. He is a distraction and at this point is the only weakness in the Galang tribe. Another thing to watch for is the Tadhana tribe in general. How will they hold up if they keep losing challenges? Is John now the next one to go? We will all find out shortly!
