The champ is back….in Victory Lane that is.

For the first time since winning the Chase for the Sprint Cup in 2012 and partying at Homestead Miami Speedway afterwards, Brad Keselowski has made his way back to victory lane.
Keselowski ended a 37-race winless streak with a late surge and by holding off Kasey Kahne to win the Bank of America 500 from Charlotte Motor Speedway on Saturday night.

At one point during the race, Keselowski was penalized for driving out of his pill stall with his jack still attached to the No. 2 Ford.
Keselowski was penalized for the incident and had to return to pit road to serve the penalty and so his team could remove the jack.

“I just feel there are a ton of bricks that fell off my shoulders,” Keselowski said after his 10th career victory and first at the 1.5-mile oval in NASCAR’s premier series. “You stand a little taller. I’m really proud of this one.”
Hendrick Motorsports dominated the early portion of the race, with Kasey Kahne and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. sharing the lead. However, Earnhardt would get trash stuck on the grill of his car and have to give up the lead to Kahne so he could remove the debris.
Saturday night’s race featured just three caution flags in the first 172 laps, one for a crash by J.J. Yeley, one for Mark Martin’s blown engine, and the last for debris.
The next race for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series is Sunday, October 20th at Talladega Superspeedway.
