Multiple outlets are reporting that the Knicks and Phil Jackson have come to an agreement where the Zen Master will run the show in New York, and free agent WR Eric Decker has agreed to sign with the New York Jets. New York fans across social media can barely contain their excitement, even if these reports are yet to be confirmed.

Decker’s wife, Jessie James, was featured in one of our WAGs Wednesday posts a while back. Although the WR free agent crop was thin this year, Eric Decker is regarded by most analysts to be the best available, and the Jets are absolutely starving for wide-outs. In no way, shape, or form does anyone who’s ever seen Decker play consider him a WR1, but the guy is a big target at 6’3″, young, healthy, and should be a very solid compliment to whoever the Jets land as their WR1 in the upcoming NFL draft (please be Mike Evans).
The Knicks have been the laughing stock of the league this season, and don’t have a first round draft pick in what is widely considered the deepest draft in over a decade in 2014. Phil Jackson is the most successful coach in NBA history, but even he should struggle to put together the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle that is the New York Knicks. Fixing this roster and draft pick situation would be nothing short of a miracle, and if Phil Jackson can do it he should run for President of the United states and win with 99.9% of the popular vote while sweeping the electoral college. Might as well put him in charge of achieving world peace and ending hunger across the globe if he brings New York an NBA Championship before cyborgs take over professional sports in the year 3017.

We’ll likely have to wait til morning to have these reports confirmed, but even the most pessimistic Jets and Knicks fans have to be happy about these potential acquisitions.
