I hope your plane crashes!

Wednesday, the infamous Mets twitter psychopath @Danxtanna (I will refrain from using his real name since enough media outlets have already leaked it) was arrested for making threats against the Mets, their players, and their stadium.   Read the rest of this entry »

NFL Week 7 Matchups

October 18, 2013 by

This week in the NFL has already been full of drama. Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay bashing Peyton Manning’s career as a Colt, Minnesota QB Josh Freeman getting his first start in purple and gold, RGIII vowing to fans that he’ll do whatever it takes to win regardless of making himself vulnerable to injury, and injuries galore across the league. Week 7 is sure to bring some great entertainment as it’s full of classic rivalry games like the Cowboys and Eagles and Ravens and Steelers, oh and Peyton vs. his replacement. Read on and take my picks to the bank.

The Josh Freeman saga has come to a close in Tampa Bay this afternoon after multiple media outlets report the team has granted him his release. What does this mean for Freeman and his future? It means he now has options and the freedom of choice towards his attempt to rebuild his name in the NFL. What does this mean for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers? PhiLthy’s NFL Week 4 Picks

It shouldn’t be a surprise to many that teams like the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks have completely dominated opponents thus far but sleepers like the Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs have bursted onto the scene in a hurry. Peyton Manning is quite possibly the best he’s ever been and has the tools to win big. Colin Kaepernick and the San Francisco 49ers have struggled far more than expected. Drew Brees is back to Jesus-like form…Breesus.

Colin Kaepernick has had a rough start to the 2013 NFL season.  After looking great in Week 1 vs the Packers, the 49ers have fallen to 1-2 after losses to a very solid Seattle Seahawks team and an up-and-coming Indianapolis Colts team.  Fantasy managers and general haters alike have been letting Colin Kaepernick hear it on twitter for the past two weeks, and he’s noticed.  Check out some of the hate that’s been thrown Kaep’s way: Read the rest of this entry »

Crap on me sam ponder

“Crap On Me Sam Ponder”

That’s right.  That’s exactly what it says on that kid’s sign at ESPN’s broadcast of College Gameday.  Every week, ESPN’s crew travels to a college that is hosting one of the biggest games of the day.  They do it during college football and college basketball season.  It’s become such a huge hit, that kids make giant signs and banners, hoping that the camera will pan to their section. Week 3 NFL Picks

September 20, 2013 by

Going 11-5 last week in my NFL picks left a bitter taste in my mouth. Getting hit with upsets such as the Bills over the Panthers, Chargers over the Eagles, and Seattle’s blowout of the San Francisco 49ers didn’t help. Cam Newton needs to snap out of it, the Chargers are for real, and Seattle is on another level. I’ll stick to my guns in saying San Fran will make it to the Superbowl, but the Seattle Seahawks have proven to be a superior franchise. Take a look at this week’s hard-hitting matchups and who I’m taking to the bank.

Trent Richardson

The Cleveland Browns have traded 2nd year running back Trent Richardson to the Indianapolis Colts for a first round draft pick.  The Browns are seriously thin at the RB position, as Richardson has handled every single carry so far this season.  The Browns are looking to sign veteran Willis McGahee, granted he passes a physical.  Read the rest of this entry »

After an interesting start to the fantasy season, owners are already having to make key lineup decisions heading into week two.
