Last night Earl, Jon, and Matt talked about a variety of topics. The show opened up with the Ultimate Warrior’s theme music. It was only fitting that his music was played, 24 hours after his tragic death. The guys bounced around a lot of baseball for the first half of the show, but then talked about NCAA Basketball, NHL, NBA, Ultimate Warrior, and finally, The Masters. Take a listen and let us know what you think!

Golf: The Masters-Final Round

The 2014 Masters golf tournament airs from April 9-13 on This year, fans will be tuning in not only to see which golfer takes home the famous Masters green jacket, but also whether that golfer makes a win using the infamous anchored putter.

For non-golf fans: traditionally, golfers swing their golf clubs in a wide stance. You no doubt have a mental picture of a golfer with club upraised in a classic backswing pose. Putters, used for those close shots to get the ball in the hole, don’t swing as widely as other clubs, but they still swing.

Or, at least, they did. Read the rest of this entry »

FORE!!!! I guess it’s tough to see the ball coming straight for your dome at The Presidents Cup.  This afternoon, Keegan Bradley teed off on the 14th hole and pulled his shot a tad to the right.  Needless to say, he hooked it a bit.  H/T to the guys over a Bleacher Report who put out the hysterical GIF.  When I saw this live, I nearly lost my shit.

Sports Security

For the start of the 2013 football season, the NFL has issued a new mandate so increase security at their events. All bags brought into the stadium must be clear and of a certain size and variety. So in the true nature of the NFL, you can purchase an official clear NFL bag that so happens to be exactly to those specifications for the price of a good meal. But what security measures have the other professional leagues taken? Check out this great infographic.

Tiger Woods Cheating BMW Championship

Today during the second round of the BMW Championship, Tiger Woods was assessed a two stroke penalty after the round due to his ball moving when removing loose impediments. Woods did not assess himself the two stroke penalty at the time that it occurred.

Woods believed that after his round, he had shot a 1-under par 70. That was not the case after a freelance videographer at the event, had alerted the PGA Tour.  He actually shot a 1-OVER par 72.

Check out the video evidence after the jump.

Jason Duffner Wife

Most girls I know hate when guys pack a lipper.  With the amount of dip Jason Dufner packs on the golf course, you’d never imagine he’d land a smokeshow like his wife Amanda.  The two met in 2009, became engaged in 2011 during dinner at a rooftop bar in New York City, and were married in 2012.  Mrs Dufner took the internet by storm after Jason gave her a few pats on the rear end after his PGA Championship victory.  Check out the GIF of the infamous butt grab and a gallery of Amanda Dufner after the jump: Read the rest of this entry »

The Masters?  Check.  The PGA Championship?  Check.  The British Open? Nope. Check.

Phil Mickelson blocked out all of the demons that have plagued him coming down the stretch in major championships to capture his first British Open title.  The British Open always seemed like the major tournament that is least likely to fit Phil’s game.  The combination of less than ideal conditions and seemingly quirky bounces, have never been Phil’s friends.

With a final round of 66 (-5 for the tournament), Phil pulled away from the rest of the pack as he birdied 13, 14 ,17 and 18 for a 3 shot victory over Henrik Stenson.  Check out his approach on 18 and the putt that cemented his name in British Open history.

Bubba Watson Travelers Championship

Oh Bubba.  We’ve all been there before.  Whether you are a Sunday golfer or a seasoned pro, there comes a time when you just want to blame someone else instead of yourself when you hit a bad shot.  And that’s exactly what Bubba Watson did on Sunday in the final round of the Travelers Championship.

Bubba was leading by two strokes when he hit his tee shot on the 16th hole.  Watch the video after the jump to see how the whole scene unraveled.

Justin Rose's Wife

Last night Justin Rose won the 2013 US Open, but it seems like he’s been winning for a while. Just check out his wife, Kate Rose.  It’s widely known that golfers have some of the hottest wives and girlfriends on earth.  I have no idea why, but that’s just the way it is.

Congrats on being a winner Justin!
