18-year-old Nathan MacKinnon scored the game winning goal at 3:27 overtime for the Colorado Avalanche, to give them a 3-2 series lead over the Minnesota Wild in the Western Conference Quarterfinals. MacKinnon and his teammates held the puck inside the blueline along the wall and allowed the counterattack to happen. With defenders draped all over MacKinnon, he somehow got off a quick shot from the slot that beat Wild goaltender Darcy Kuemper, high and to the glove side.

Paul Stastny of the Colorado Avalanche not only tied the game up with fifteen seconds left in regulation, but he won the game seven minutes and twenty-seven seconds into overtime as well.  Statsny’s second of the night gives the Avalanche a 1-0 series lead over the Minnesota Wild, who fall to 4-17 in their last 21 playoff games.

Nathan MacKinnon made a sweet spin move behind the net to free himself and found a wide open Stastny at the bottom of the right faceoff circle.  From there, Stastny didn’t get all of it, but neither did Wild goalie Ilya Bryzgalov, and the puck found the back of the net.

Steen
Alexander Steen gave the St. Louis Blues a 4-3 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks, twenty-six seconds into triple overtime. Steen’s goal gives the blues a 1-0 series lead on the defending Stanley Cup Champions. The play started with the puck getting dumped in on the Blackhawks goalie, Corey Crawford.  Crawford played the bouncing puck in behind the net, but David Backes got to it and centered it out to Steve Ott.  Ott realized he was not in the best shooting position, so he dropped the pass back to the driving Steen, and he buried it past Crawford.

Check out the game winner after the jump.
