I was doing comic book movie reviews on here for a while but started slacking off after seeing “X-Men: Days Of Future Past”.  I only recently caught up on the rest of 2014 by watching “Guardians Of The Galaxy” and “The Amazing Spider-Man 2”.  Quick review: One was awesome, one was an abomination.  Last night though, I got to see “Avengers: Age Of Ultron” at a sold out theater on Long Island.   Full disclosure, I saw the first Avengers movie at a midnight showing with a bunch of nerds (No offense) and kind of hated it.  I have since watched it again on TV and hated it less tough.   Read the rest of this entry »

LeBron James is the best basketball player on the planet.  While Steph Curry will likely win the MVP award this season, anyone with eyes knows LeBron James is a better basketball player, and is more important to his team.  I used to be a fan of LeBron.  Ever since I caught wind of his high school hoopsmixtape where he was dunking on little white kids and chasing down fast breaks for ridiculous blocks the likes of which I’d never seen before, I was a fan.   But I’m not anymore.  I don’t root against LeBron, but I no longer root for him to succeed.  Before I jump into why, check out that video I was talking about: Read the rest of this entry »

Why you hate me?

Why you hate me?

Bartolo Colon (Who probably won’t be on the Mets come August) will be your Opening Day starter for 2015.  Guess what? I don’t give a crap and neither should you. Opening Day is meaningless and you need to stop raging about it.  Read a book, hug your wife/kids.  This is not worth it.

MillionDollarMan

Dominican immigrant Pedro Quezada was the sole winner of Saturday’s $338 million PowerBall jackpot.  In my opinion, Quezada is a hard-working man who bought a ticket and deserves every penny that’s coming to him, but  I’ve seen a lot of people on Facebook and Twitter complaining about this man’s windfall.  Listen up you ignorant and somewhat racist whiners- there’s something FAR worse than an immigrant winning $338 million, and that’s me winning the lottery. How does Nike plan to sell more of the Jordan XXIXs, one of the ugliest Jordans ever?  Release them in a combo pack with the most popular Jordans, the XIs in “Pantone” colorway, and charge $500 of course.  I’m not shitting you.  This is actually happening at 8:00AM EST this morning.   Read the rest of this entry »

Out at Home: This Rule Has to Go

September 12, 2014 by

Designed to improve player safety, Major League Baseball inserted a new rule into its books this offseason. Catchers could no longer block home plate until the ball might be arriving on a throw approximately 20 meters down the third baseline only on Sunday nights.

Maybe I misread the rulebook a little; however, while it has good intentions, this rule needs to modified or removed immediately.  Read the rest of this entry »

Decades Of Hate!

Decades Of Hate!

One thing that absolutely irritates me about New York sports is the amount of fake local rivalries we have here.  And I was reminded of my hatred of false rivalries last night when the Jets took on the Giants in a preseason game.  This happens every year and it’s called the Snoopy Bowl. Because Metlife Stadium is named after Metlife who has Snoopy as their mascot, lol! The Giants won and guess what? It meant absolutely nothing.   This of course didn’t stop fans from talking an unwarranted amount of trash talk towards one another.  Both teams have enough teams within their own division that they can hate there is absolutely no reason to hate each other.

Three strikes in baseball and you are out. Three arrests in the NFL and the league may (or may not) determine, “this guy needs help.”

There is no doubt about it: Justin Blackmon is one of the top young Wide Receivers in the NFL.After an outstanding college football career at Oklahoma State University, he was taken by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the 5th overall selection in the 2012 NFL Draft. Read the rest of this entry »

If you don't play hard, I will fight you.

If you don’t play hard, I will fight you.

It’s that time of year where Mets fans have had enough of Terry Collins saying that the team is tired after every loss, and rightfully so. If the team is so tired then maybe they should attend the Citi Field sleepover and make things really awkward for the fans.  So yeah Terry Collins needs to go and the sexy replacement pick for the last few years has been Wally Backman.  The push for Wally isn’t as epic this year mainly because no other team has seemed even remotely interested him during the past few offseasons and some of his biggest fans are in jail.
