Lionel Messi scored with an awesome strike from just outside the top right of the box, to give Argentina a 1-0 win over Iran at the World Cup. We were waiting for Messi to do something amazing for 90 minutes, but it just took a little extra time. What an incredible goal from the best player in the world.

COL Dance
Colombia just scored to take a 1-0 lead against the Ivory Coast at the World Cup, but that’s not what everyone will be talking about. It was the celebration dance afterwards. I’m not saying it’s true, but there’s a rumor Shakira showed some of these guys some moves before the tournament.

Australia’s Tim Cahill took a long high pass from Ryan McGown at the top of the box and one timed it with his left foot past the Netherlands’ goal keeper Jasper Cillessen. It was a thing of beauty. Sure to be one of the best looking goals of the World Cup.

Belgium 2-1

Eden Hazard passed the ball across the top of the box on a fast break, and Dries Mertens buried it short side, to give Belgium a 2-1 victory over Algeria. Mertens unleashed a rocket from the top right corner of the box, and nearly put it through the net. What a fantastic shot.

fellaini

Marouane Fellaini has broken through for Belgum and they are now tied with Algeria 1-1. In a game in which Belgum has done literally nothing offensively, substitute Fellaini took a cross from Kevin De Bruyne, and headed it into the net. Sources say that Fellaini is 6′ 4″, but the fro makes him closer to 7 feet tall.

USA 2-1
John Brooks scored in the 86th minute to give the United States a 2-1 lead over Ghana. Brooks put home a beautiful header off a corner kick from substitute Graham Zusi.  This was the first goal in United States soccer history, to be scored by a substitute.  What an incredible show of heart by this team.  John Rambo would be proud.

Dempsey Kick To Face
With the United States already down one striker with the hamstring to Jozy Altidore, Clint Dempsey just got crane kicked in the face and might have a broken nose. If we get more information about the injury, we will make sure to pass it along.
