Half of the NFL football season is over and I am starting to see teams separate themselves fro the rest of the league. Every year I make my final four prediction half way through the season. (6-0 picking AFC and NFC championships since 2009). The famous quote was “defense wins championships” but not in today’s flag football league. Defenses are not intimidating anymore as they are not allowed to hit like the old days. The soon to be new quote (which the NFL loves) “offense wins championships.” My football mother is going to hate to read that one, as she is from the old school and loves hard nose football. She used to say “if you can’t take the hit, you shouldn’t be out there playing.” The league has evolved and you must have success throwing to compete. My final four teams all consist of our leagues top passers. We very well could see a Super Bowl Manning vs Manning! If so we can finally stop the talks of who is the best Manning.

Will there be a Manning in the Superbowl? Maybe both Manning’s?

“Oh, what that 35 unanswered?”

What a wild week 6 in the NFL, as the BYE teams cashed in a perfect 4-0 ATS. There have been some key injuries the past two weeks leaving the Super Bowl run wide open for teams.

Week 6 in the NFL feels like the week of the “UNDERDOG.” Four of the fourteen games have an Upset Alert on them.  There are some teams that are just clicking, some teams looking to improve and others seeking revenge.

New Orleans Saints -3 1/2 over San Diego Chargers by 13
Yes the Saints are 0-4 and have one of the worst defenses in the league.  Drew Brees is still on fire.  Marques Colston finally got involved last week with a big game.  The Saints were in the game verse Green Bay and really, were one call away from winning.  It looks as if they are finally meshing as a whole.  This team might not be the powerhouse of the past few years, but they are still a very talented team.  Do not be fooled by their record, it was a slow start this year, with off season distractions.  They will start to role here week 5 with a big win at home over the Chargers. I blame the replacement refs.  I’m sitting at 17-1-30 (3-1 LOCKS) on the season after last week’s debacle, down -H200.  Walter White was down and out and managed to scrape back.  I’m confident I can do the same.  Here are my Week 4 picks:

Cleveland +12 @ Baltimore (WON) Read the rest of this entry »

So week 3 in the NFL ended in complete controversy.  The Seattle Seahawks Hail Mary on the last play against the Green Bay Packers, cost gamblers across the nation estimated $150M – $250M on one play!  Not to mention it left 65,000 fantasy GM’s with a big fat L.  With that being said, it is almost impossible to pick games when the wrong teams are winning.  The replacement refs have changed momentum and really messed up these first 3 weeks in the NFL.  On the bright side it looks that this controversy finally got the NFL to settle down and come to a deal with the REAL officials.  Tonight’s game will have normal officiating!

– The Star* rating is how much I like that team against the spread.  10********** is my #1 pick/lock

Week 3 NFL Fantasy Football Focus

September 20, 2012 by

It’s week three in the NFL and so far it has been a very unpredictable year.  Your routine players are having off games, the players you put at the bottom of the list are blowing up.  What do we do?  Just like I said last week, do not panic and stick to your guns for at least four weeks.  Let your top ranked players show what they have.  After reading this article you should have your bench situation set.

Here are my top 10 rankings for week two Fantasy Football at each position Read the rest of this entry »

Kay Ohhh is gettin' ready to dominate the Rams this week. He's the sole reason that the BRONCOS are TSB's Best Bet for week 12.

Week 12 is already underway with 3 games on Thanksgiving.  If I had no family, OR was a little more dedicated, I would have had picks for those 3 games out on Wednesday night.  But, since neither of those came into play, I’ll just give you TSB’s Expert picks for the games today and Monday night.  With my best week this season (10-5 and winning my Best Bet), I’ve moved to 60-55-1 and 4-5 in Best Bets.  Two weeks in a row over .500, LOOK OUT!

1 PM EASTERN

Vikings (-1.5) @ Redskins

For some unknown reason, the Skins play up or down to their competition each week.  So with that you would think that they would get up for this home game and beat the Vikings.  WRONG.  Leslie Frasier is going to have a contract put out on McNabb today.  Finally, a Vikings pass rush. Pick: VIKINGS  RESULT: WIN
