If you don’t know, now you know… Ramses Barden exploded on the Fantasy Football scene Thursday night against the Carolina Panthers. With Hakeem Nicks out due to injury, Barden got the start and boy did he make the most of it. 9 receptions, 138 yards, and the game isn’t even over yet.

A 3rd round draft pick by the New York Giants in 2009, Ramses Barden hasn’t had much of a chance to shine. Buried deep in the depth chart, the 6’6 receiver had 16 career receptions going into Thursday night’s game. With the performance he’s put on so far tonight, one can only wonder what was taking Tom Coughlin so long to get this kid in the game?
While the Carolina defense looks awful tonight and Eli Manning is playing like a man possessed, the sheer size of Barden makes him an intriguing pickup in all fantasy leagues. If Hakeen Nicks is to miss a significant amount of time, this guy becomes an immediate WR2 worthy of starting in all Fantasy Football leagues. Waiver wire systems in most leagues make Ramses Barden a Free Agent that anyone can scoop up. What are you waiting for?
