As a reminder…from here on out, we’re going to do things a little different here at TSB when it comes to AMC’s The Walking Dead. Instead of an all-out recap, we’re gonna give you our reaction to each week’s episode and the Kill Count. (**SPOILER ALERT** Although we won’t go through the episode step by step, this article will contain spoilers)

Kill Count: 4 Walkers
It’s about damn time Rick got called out for losing his mind. I’ve been throwing around the quote “THIS IS NO LONGER A DEMOCRACY!!” in everyday life for a few months now, due to Rick being such a bad ass. And to be honest, recently its felt pretty empty when saying it. I’m glad someone else has realized that it’s become an empty threat.

In the course of the first five minutes of the episode, Herschel tells Rick to sac up and be the damn leader like you once proclaimed, and Carl flat-out tells his dad that he needs to step aside because he’s a certifiable lunatic. Hallelujah!! And what do you know…Rick all of a sudden snaps out of it. For at least this episode.
Now that the Gov is planning for an all out attack on the prison, he’s starting his own mini draft. By “training” anyone over the age of 13, he’s gained an additional 35 people to fight. It was pretty funny when The Gov was talking to some of the potential new recruits. One old lady had arthritis, one kid had asthma. What was next? An older man with erectile dysfunction? It was comical to see these people lined up like they were being picked for a game of dodge ball.

We all know that Andrea is lusting to get to the prison, and as you would expect, makes her way there. Milton goes along with her after letting The Gov know about her plans after he warned her. “You go to that prison, stay there.” The Gov knows that Milton will be loyal to him to the bitter end. Andrea on the other hand…he’s not so sure.
In one of the best scenes on the season so far, Andrea and Milton are walking through the woods and pull out one of Michonne’s old tricks. They attempt to recreate the “walker with no arms or jaw”. So they manage to wrangle up a walker.
WOW. Shit just got real. But wait, it gets even better…Tyreese and his crew show up at the same time! Yeaaaaaa boooiiiiii!!!
Just like Andrea would want it, Milton takes Tyreese’s group back to Woodbury as she takes the walker to the prison. Even after almost three seasons, I still don’t understand who Andrea is. One minute she’s this ultra gullible blonde who’s just out for the dong, the next minute she’s this Rambo character who’s trying to take down an entire army by herself.
I’m glad that when she gets to the prison, that the group initially treats her like the traitor that she is. Yeah she was at Woodbury for “shelter”, but to be so blind and attached to the biggest douche bag on the planet and not understand the big picture, is pathetic. She deserves to be fed to the walkers.
When the group undresses Andrea for being the traitor that she is, she insists that she’s on the group’s side and wants to work out a peaceful resolution to the situation. Naturally, naive Andrea is shocked to hear the real truth from everyone about how the whole attack happened. It’s funny how when outside, Andrea accuses Michonne of turning the group against her. Michonne snapped back at Andrea that she’s living under the Governor’s spell and reveals that he sent Merle to kill her. Michonne says she went back to Woodbury to show the Governor’s true colors, adding, “I knew it would hurt you.”
It really sucks that Tyreese’s crew wound up in Woodbury. They would have been a real asset to the group. But with the way Rick went bat shit crazy, I’m not shocked that Tyreese is going to give up a map of the prison to The Gov.
Carol’s nonchalant approach to telling Andrea to bang The Gov when she got back to Woodbury, then slit his throat in the middle of the night, was just fantastic. Deep down inside, we know she’s got such hatred for men, and the demonic expression and tone was awesome.
I know that when I need someone to open and close a fence, while unlocking and then locking it quickly, that I want that the guy with one hand doing this. Anyone else notice that when Andrea is driving the car out of the prison, that Merle is the one at the fence? How dumb is that?
Naturally, Andrea’s split personality takes over when she has the chance to ice The Gov in his sleep. Once again, we get to see a butt naked Andrea (who I am assuming is using a body double), and this time she’s get a knife. All she had to do was slit this son of a bitch’s throat and it would be over. But she just couldn’t do it. What a waste of flesh she is. Really. She’s completely useless.
Rick decides he’s going to head a group of him, Michonne and Carl to head to Woodbury during a session of prison karaoke. This looks like it could be Carl’s chance to prove himself once and for all to Rick. Let’s hope he doesn’t blow it.
I believe there are only two episodes left in Season 3. Ugh. I hate you AMC! Not really, I love you.
