The comparisons were simply inevitable. T.J. Moe is a slot receiver out of the University of Missouri. He is small, white, not blazingly fast, but extremely quick, and very tough. Then he goes undrafted and signs with the New England Patriots, this is the easiest comparison of all time, T.J. Moe is in the mold of Wes Welker.

Normally, I hate making those kind of comparisons. Just because the guy plays in the slot and is white does not make him Wes Welker. But when you watch this guy play, you cannot help but make that comparison. Moe probably fell in the draft because of his lack of straight line speed. He ran a 4.74 40 at the combine, which was the worst out of all of the Wide Receivers. That being said, Moe has elite quickness and change of direction speed. he ran a 6.53-second 3-cone drill, a 3.96-second short shuttle time, and 10.87-second 60-yard shuttle drill. All three were the best among Wide Receivers.
Tom Brady is famous for using his slot receiver well. While the position is certainly not lacking with Danny Amendola and Julian Edelman in the fold, I think there might be a spot for Moe on this team. The Patriots are very thin at Wide Receiver, and obviously know how to use a guy like Moe in the middle of the field. He has good hands, great quickness, is very tough, and he just knows how to get open. he can even help in the return game. Moe is definitely a guy that I have my eye on.
