A lot of controversy has been made over Washington Wizards’ guard John Wall’s new tattoos. (see the picture of his new tats after the jump)

I read an article before on USA Today that pretty much said that the Wizards shouldn’t resign John Wall to big money because the organization can’t trust him based off his new tattoos.
Really? You can’t trust a guy because he has some questionable tattoos now? Let me show you why that is just ridiculous.

Let’s look at some of the best players in the NBA
LeBron James is without a doubt the best player in the world…and he has tattoos.

Kevin Durant made First Team All-NBA this year…and he has tattoos.
Kobe Bryant single-handedly carried the Lakers to the playoffs this year…and he has tattoos
Carmelo Anthony led the league in scoring this year…and he has tattoos.
Derrick Rose is the only player in the last 5 years to win MVP not named LeBron James…and he has tattoos.
These are just some of the great NBA players that have tattoos. If I had to guess, I’d say that about 75% of NBA players have tattoos. So clearly, tattoos and being a good basketball player are completely unrelated.
So if the Wizards aren’t going to resign Wall to a big contract, it better because they don’t think he’s an elite point guard and not because of his tattoo choice.
