So, the Ryan Braun suspension is old news in the sports world. But, one opponent doesn’t seem to be giving up on the issue, Dodgers CF Matt Kemp. He wants his hardware.

Kemp has been very vocal to the media in regards to the Ryan Braun case because he wants the title that is “rightfully” his. Matt finished runner-up to Braun in voting for the 2011 National League Most Valuable Player award and he has made it clear he feels that he deserves the title. Ryan finished with 388 points with 20 first-place votes compared to Kemp’s 332 and 10. Funny coincidence being that MLB attempted to suspend Braun that October for elevated testosterone, but it was magically overturned by an arbitrator who stated that his test was handled improperly.
In recent interviews, Kemp has tried to play the whole, “he’s betrayed the fans” card. Not only the fans, but the organization and what MLB stands for. Wisely, he completed his comments on Braun’s title being stripped with, “I feel that it should be, but that’s not for me to decide, you know?”

Despite Kemp’s remarks on the issue, the Baseball Writer’s Association of America has come back with comments and made it clear that the award vote was final and would not be overturned. Braun won the final vote and that’s the way it was going to stay. Sorry, Matt. I guess your 2011 highlight was banging Kim Kardashian.
