Alexander Steen gave the St. Louis Blues a 4-3 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks, twenty-six seconds into triple overtime. Steen’s goal gives the blues a 1-0 series lead on the defending Stanley Cup Champions. The play started with the puck getting dumped in on the Blackhawks goalie, Corey Crawford. Crawford played the bouncing puck in behind the net, but David Backes got to it and centered it out to Steve Ott. Ott realized he was not in the best shooting position, so he dropped the pass back to the driving Steen, and he buried it past Crawford.
