When I grew up, there was no jersey as hot as the Charlotte Hornets. Even kids who were not Hornets fans, like myself, wanted to get their hands on that eye-popping teal. The first jersey I ever owned was actually a Larry Johnson #2. Today, the Charlotte Hornets unveiled their new jerseys for the 2014-15 season.

While these are not as sharp as the originals, they are very good looking. I’m guessing that the alternate jersey will probably be the top seller due to the teal base. As stated in the video, they can be worn at home or on the road.

As a new resident of the Charlotte area, this is a huge step for this franchise. The “Bobcats” was never really a brand that the people here could identify with. But with the success of the 2013-2014 season, the multiple first round draft picks, and the new team name/logo, Charlotte will once again become one of the best basketball cities in America.
Nice job Bobcats.
