Kacy Catanzaro, a former NCAA gymnast from Towson University, has done what no woman before her has ever accomplished. The 5-foot tall, 100lb Catanzaro is the first woman ever to make it to the American Ninja Warrior Finals, and will be the first woman to take on the show’s ultimate challenge, Mt. Midoriyama. I’ve been watching Ninja Warrior since it first aired on Spike TV as commentators voiced over the Japanese “Sasuke” tapes. I remember sitting in my basement with my roommates in awe of the incredible athletes who completed the course, and laughing my ass off at the chumps who would fail on the very first obstacle. What Kacy Catanzaro did in the 2014 Dallas Finals is absolutely incredible, and #MightyKacy has definitely gained the respect and admiration of us at TSB.
