The following GIF is not for the faint of heart. On Wednesday night, Atlanta Braves pitcher Tim Hudson was making a play at 1st base when his ankle was demolished by Mets outfielder Eric Young JR. With Hudson’s foot on the right side of the bag, there was pretty much nothing Young JR could have done to avoid injuring him.
He was carted off the field and will have surgery to repair the ankle break.
