When it comes down to the finals, true colors will always come out on MTV’s The Challenge: Rivals 2

After all these weeks of having the CT and Diem story shoved down our throats, it finally came to a head tonight. We started off with Diem telling Aneesa that, “I feel full around CT”. Aneesa counters that she’s worried that Diem is being set up for failure with CT. Back in the bunks, Johnny keeps trying, like he has week after week, to tell Diem that CT is going to screw him over in the long run. Camila tells Diem that she should go with what her feelings tell her.
Before the final challenge, Cooke and Cara Maria both realize that they need to win this final challenge to have any chance of avoiding the Jungle. Before heading to the elimination challenge, Paula states that she’s angry and upset because she knows that “friendships will be broken”. Shit just got deeeeeeep on Rivals 2.
“Color Correction” is the name of tonight’s elimination challenge. All four girls teams will have to run a 1 mile course down the beach to a flashing light board, in which they must remember the pattern. They then have to run all the way back to the starting line and stack colored discs on top of each other in the order of the flashing light pattern. The first round will be twelve discs and the second round, seventeen. The one twist to this is that the two teammates will be chained together and all four teams will be running at the same time. The last place team will automatically be thrown in the Jungle. The top two teams will go on to round two to determine who is going to the finals.

Cara Maria and Cooke managed to come in first in the opening heat. Not surprisingly, Paula and Emily came in second to make it to the second round. Unfortunately for Aneesa and Diem, they came in last. Shit just got real in the house. Now in heat two, Emily and Paula got out to a big lead and got to the colors first. But once again, Cara Maria and Cooke shocked the world and got the pattern quickly and took off for the finish line. Only arriving slightly ahead of Emily and Paula, Cooke and Cara Maria ripped through the pattern and were on to the finals. “We won because of Cara”, Cooke said. Cara Maria was so overcome with emotion that she started crying. While at the finish line, Johnny asked Diem if they wanted Camila and Jemmye, and Camila jumps in to tell him “thanks for stabbing us in the back!”. “When we get back to deliberate, the house is going to turn into a zoo”. Yes CT, it is.
At this point, Diem is FUMING that Cooke is gloating in her face. “They don’t even deserve to be in the finals”, she tells Emily. Uh, I hate to break it to you Diem, neither do you. You and Aneesa are probably the least athletic team I have seen on The Challenge in a LONG time. Johnny, Frank, and the rest of the guys see Diem prancing around and they all call what she’s wearing her “paranoid deliberation dress”. It was pretty funny to see the way the production team cut the sequence.

Diem makes her way into the bunks where most of the housemates are, and Frank makes a good point. He says, “When was the last time CT kissed you? Before the guys last elimination. Now that he feels that he’s safe, he doesn’t need to stand up for what you want. He’ll show what a scumbag he is.” Honestly, Diem has a point that CT should essentially allow her and Aneesa decide who they want to face in the Jungle. BUT…this is all a game. From day one I knew he was probably gonna use her to keep himself safe. But what CT told her last week was that as long as she doesn’t finish last, she’ll be safe. Well, you finished last girl. Deal with it.
Diem at this point has been drinking for a while. She’s now visibly wasted and starts in with everyone. Just fighting with all the girls and yelling and just all sloppy. CT and Diem wind up talking on the side and he says to her, “We (him and Wes) can’t do everything for you. You can’t control me like you used to”.
Paula and Emily now start the lobbying process with Jordan and Marlon, the two rookies that they have voted for twice. the rookies clearly have no reason not to vote them into the Jungle. Paula the starts the waterworks and begging for them not to vote her and Emily in. Jemmye walks in as this as happening and tells Jordan and Marlon that she ain’t beggin’ for shit.
At the final vote, TJ lets Cara Maria and Cooke know that they “Killed it”. That’s bonus points girls. Nice job. When it’s time for the votes, CT and Wes were up first. They chose Emily and Paula. Frank and Johnny voted for Camila and Jemmye. WOAH. Now the final vote rested on the rookies. Everyone knew that they were going to vote for Paula and Emily. They chose Camila and Jemmye. Referring to Diem and Aneesa “They nearly shit themselves”, said CT.
Back in the house, the cameras catch Diem and Camila in the kitchen arguing. Camila starts serving Diem a plate full of ”you’re so fake”. The yelling gets up to like 90 decibels in 5 seconds. Jemmye then come into the picture and drops a, “You’re a fake ass bitch” right in her grill. Now the whole house is watching this unfold. Jemmye throws in a solid, “He’s fuckin’ everybody and you’re still chasin’ him?”
Tweet of the Night…
Jemmye is so gross it hurts to look at her

Cry, cry, cry Diem. It only took you 10 episodes to realize that he used you and this was only part of the game. “I feel used an manipulated. He’s shown his true colors”. I was really hoping for a montage of all the cuddling and the romantic moments…wait, no I wasn’t.
We get to the Jungle and you can tell that it’s “Hanging By A Thread”, but UNTIL NEXT WEEK!!!! I knew that was going to happen. Too much time was spent on the drama for a Jungle.
