The Los Angeles Kings have taken a 1-0 series lead over the New York Rangers in the Stanley Cup Final, after Justin Williams scored at 4:36 of overtime in Game 1. Williams was able to capitalize after New York’s Dan Girardi misplayed the puck in his own zone. Girardi threw the puck up the wall after he fell down, and Mike Richards was able to intercept the clearing attempt. Richards quickly passed it to a wide open Williams who buried the puck behind Henrik Lundqvist.
