If you’re like most people, you probably have an iPod or iPhone with which you listen to music, watch movies, and/or play games. While the Apple earpods offer decent sound quality, there is definitely room for improvement. Enter Acoustibuds EPB (stands for ‘Ear Pod Bud’) Earphone Flexible Tips. They’re designed to make your existing earphones stay in better, sound better, and feel better without spending a fortune. I had a chance to try out the Acoustibuds EPB, and here’s what I have to say about them:

I’ll start off with a disclaimer: I have pretty small ears. The Apple earpods themselves are almost too big for my ears, and I’ve never have an issue with them falling out on their own. When you add a silicone cover to them, we’re talking about a tight squeeze. If you feel like Apple earpods are constantly falling out of your ears, you’ll love Acoustibuds and have a much more favorable opinion than myself.
I was skeptical at first, but I must admit the Acoustibuds drastically improve the sound quality of Apple earpods. The music was clear, crisp, and was undeniably a better listening experience than Apple earpods sans Acoustibuds. If you think your listening experience can be enhanced by this product, feel free to pick them up on Amazon for an affordable $9.99. They come in both black and crystal (clear).
FULL REVIEW:
Acoustibuds come in crystal (clear) or black, and each package includes 2 different sized silicone tips.
They are incredibly easy to install, and don’t come off easily/move around once you place them over the Apple earpods. Stretch Acoustibuds Flexible Tips over the contoured earpiece of your earphones. Then wiggle Acoustibuds into the ear with an up-down motion.
The Acoustibuds EPB are designed to sit securely in your ear in order to prevent the slipping out problem that many people (not myself) face with Apple earpods on their own. Their innovative design also enhances the sound, giving you a more enjoyable listening experience, whether you’re out for a jog or sitting on public transit during your commute to work. I’m a big fan of the crystal Acoustibuds as the silicone ear pod buds are unnoticeable when in your ears. And don’t worry if you don’t own the new Apple earpods, the EPB sport model is also compatible with other devices that have forward facing sound ports such as the original Apple earphone, Plantronics M50 Bluetooth headset, Avantree Jogger and more.
The Acoustibuds EPB create a seal within your ear which allows you to listen to your music at a lower volume while isolating noise. Without Acoustibuds, I could hear what was going on around me while wearing Apple earpods. With the Acoustibuds, I experienced almost a noise-cancellation effect where all I could really hear was the music coming out of my headphones. Depending on where/when you’re listening to music, you may like or dislike this effect.
As stated in my quick review, the Acoustibuds EPB aren’t really for me. With my smaller than average ears, they’re a little uncomfortable and don’t really fit me. While I was able to cram them into my ears, I feel as if their main intended use (to keep earpods from slipping out) is unnecessary for me. The sound is great, but I don’t mind sacrificing that quality for comfort when I listen to music.
If Apple earpods are constantly falling out of your ears, Acoustibuds are pretty much a must-have. For $9.99, it’s worth taking a gamble on even if they don’t end up working out for you. Give them a try, and let us know in the comments section what you think about them.
In addition to the Acoustibuds, I was also sent some Acoustigrips to try out. These cord management clips are small, but solve the tugging on the ears issue that many runners experience while listening to music. You can use them to grip each headphone wire individually, or to grip just the main cord. Clip it to your shirt and bam! No more tugging on your ears when you run. This little item gets an A in every category, and is something all headphones should be accompanies with. I highly recommend the Acoustigrips which can be found on Amazon for $5.99.
