Inspired by a BaconSports.com article I read a couple of years ago, I decided to have a little fun on Craigslist tonight and see what people would be willing to trade for this weekend’s NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four tickets. I posted an ad in the Indianapolis “for sale” section on craigslist.org, and waited for the responses to pour in.
The ad read:
I have 2 Final Four and NCAA Championship tickets at Lucas Oil Stadium that I’m looking to trade. I received these tickets through my employer and it is a violation of company policy to profit off of them, but as far as I know I’m free to trade them with no recourse. The tickets are in the corner section 109, very similar view to the seats I had for the East Regional (see photo).I’m open to all sorts of trade. The tickets will go to whoever offers the best deal. I will decide by tonight at midnight. Pickup can be arranged anywhere near Indianapolis tomorrow or Saturday morning.

Season pass, eh? Naa. I’m good.Pappy Van Winkle 20 Year Old Bourbon Whiskey
If I actually had the tickets I would contemplate this offer. Someone else followed up with the 2014 release:
The majority of the offers were straight cash or gift cards. I let the ruse go on for about 2 hours before shutting down the ad. In my opinion, the hunting trip and the rare bourbon were extremely strong offers. I hope everyone looking for tickets found them elsewhere.
