It’s here! It’s finally here!!!!!

On Sunday afternoon, the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series begins with stock car racing’s most prestigious racing event of the season — the Daytona 500. This will be the 55th running of “The Great American Race” at Daytona International Speedway.

When the green flag drops this afternoon, fans hope to see some exciting racing and not bad weather, potholes, exploding jet dryers, and any other bizarre occurrence that has happened at DIS in years past. Fans will also get to see their favorite drivers behind the wheel of the new Generation 6 car.  Read the rest of this entry »

“Rowdy” Ronda Rousey defended her UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship against Liz Carmouche Saturday night by submission at 4:49 in the first round, with an armbar. Carmouche surprisingly put up a very good fight, but in the end Rousey’s elite ground game was too much for the ex-Marine.

This is a a photo of Kyle Larson’s Nationwide Series Engine that was caught in the catch fence at the start finish line of Daytona International Speedway.  A huge multi-car wreck happened coming to the finish of the Nationwide Series Race.   This was a scary situation for drivers and fans.  It looked like all the drivers walked away.   No word on any injuries in the grandstands to any fans. Please pray for everyone that was effected by this crash.

Tony Stewart was the race winner but a very subdued victory lane celebration due to the situation happing on the front stretch.
