Last night Matt and Earl got their first taste of New York Mets fans ready to jump off the Shea Bridge. Regular callers @MidnightBashem and @xTomatoez weighed in while the Mets were still playing. The New York Knicks were slaughtering the Brooklyn Nets, but that didn’t stop a discussion about the Knicks sneaking into the playoffs. Matt and Earl also touched on the Final Four and gave their picks.

Last night, the Stache Radio crew finally got to talk about real baseball. Opening day came and went for the New York Mets. Some of it good, some of it bad. But mostly bad. After falling 9-7 to the Washington Nationals, the guys talked about it, and were lucky enough to speak with Howard Megdal from Sports On Earth and Capital New York.

Last night on Stache Radio, the guys had the pleasure of doing two great interviews on our 100% New York Mets show on the TSB Radio Network. First up was one half of the best radio play-by-play team in baseball, WOR 710 AM’s Josh Lewin. In the second hour, we had Metsblog.com’s Matthew Cerrone. When speaking to Josh he told us about players who intrigued him this spring, his preparation for games, things he likes to do away from the microphone, and what he was doing when Johan Santana threw the only ho-hitter in New York Mets history. Matthew Cerrone gave us his opinion on which players had disappointed him so far this spring, the first base situation, and this thoughts on Dillon Gee being named opening day starter.

We had a great show and great calls last night. The hour just flew by. We we joined by JB (@therealhoov) from The Happy Recap podcast for 15 minutes talking about spring training, some of the injuries, and his thoughts on the short stop situation. As always, we had a solid call, from @xTomatoez, @AdamMets was a “third time caller”, and a new caller @panselmo93 asked out possible trades with the A’s.

Last night on Stache Radio, the guys covered a multitude of topics.  The New York Mets shortstop situation is always a focal point, as well as anytime a player has a boot put on.  Especially when it’s Ike Davis.

Special thanks to callers @xTomatoez and @BootyClapThunder.  Check out the show and let us know what you think!

Last night on Stache Radio, the guys were joined by Marc Carig of Newsday to talk about literally everything involving the New York Mets. Marc joined us from Disney World and it sounded like he was having a great time as the other Mets beat writers were clearly having a little fun with him as well. Special thanks to @AdamMets and @JohnMackinAde for calling in last night.

Last night’s show was in question all the way up until about 8:50 pm due to BlogTalkRadio.com being hit with a cyber attack. Luckily they got the site back up in time for TSB Radio at 9 pm.  With Kevin going on his hiatus, Matt (@Dailystache) made a very successful debut.  It was a great show and we talked about the USA Men’s hockey team defeating the Czech Rep., NBA Trade Deadline, MLB, and more.  Special thanks to our regular callers Eddie (@xTomatoez), David (@Graves9), and James (@MidnightBashem), who did a great job.

Half of the NFL football season is over and I am starting to see teams separate themselves fro the rest of the league. Every year I make my final four prediction half way through the season. (6-0 picking AFC and NFC championships since 2009). The famous quote was “defense wins championships” but not in today’s flag football league. Defenses are not intimidating anymore as they are not allowed to hit like the old days. The soon to be new quote (which the NFL loves) “offense wins championships.” My football mother is going to hate to read that one, as she is from the old school and loves hard nose football. She used to say “if you can’t take the hit, you shouldn’t be out there playing.” The league has evolved and you must have success throwing to compete. My final four teams all consist of our leagues top passers. We very well could see a Super Bowl Manning vs Manning! If so we can finally stop the talks of who is the best Manning.
