Taiwanese Fan Makes A Sign Welcoming Manny Ramirez, But Uses A Picture Of Johnny Cueto

Former MLB superstar Manny Ramirez made his home debut with the EDA Rhinos of the Chinese Baseball League Wednesday night. He is by far the biggest name to ever play in the league.  Fans throughout the stadium made signs supporting Manny, but one has stuck out from the rest.

These women just wanted to make a sign that welcomes Manny Ramirez to their country, and to show him some support. Only one minor problem, the picture on it is not Manny, it is Cincinnati Reds’ pitcher Johnny Cueto. Now that is great!

Obviously, this was just a simple mistake, but come on! Did they just do a Google search for “baseball players with dreadlocks” or what?!  I mean, the dreads are really the only thing that makes them looks similar. I would love to know how these women, came across this photo and thought that it was their new baseball star.

I also came across this video of Manny’s first hit in the CBL, the broadcasters just go nuts over a standard single to left, it is pretty amusing. I like how the third base coach tosses the ball back in to the dugout for Manny to keep. Be sure to watch all the way to the end and see a slow motion replay of his swing, dreads flowing in the wind and all.
