College Football’s Week 4 Preview

here aren’t many big games this week in College Football, but there are five very important ones.  After the breakdown, you can check out my projected AP Top 25 Rankings.

Let’s start off in North Carolina. Both teams are 2-0. #3 Clemson vs North Carolina State. Last time NCST knocked off a #3 team it was a fellow team from the ACC. Is it going to happen tonight? Nope. Clemson’s offense is way too good for the Wolfpack to keep up with. Plus Pete Thomas, the Wolfpack QB doesn’t have a passing TD this year. Clemson over NCST 47-13.

Now we head out west to the game of the Week in Stanford. Junior QB Taylor Kelly really impressed scouts last week even though ASU got a gift from the gods in a very questionable call. Don’t get me wrong, I like Kevin Hogan, but obviously he’s no Andrew Luck. ASU is my upset pick of the week in a very tight game. ASU over Stanford 31-30.

Indiana is were Notre Dame is located,  and it will be the final resting place of Michigan State’s season. Michigan State is an outside team looking in. A loss would be horrible for their position. Notre Dame’s season is hanging by a thread and they’re not losing. Especially at home. Tommy Rees will have a decent game, but it’s not hard to out perform Connor Cook. Notre Dame over MSU 25-17.

Purdue vs Wisconsin is a very underrated game. Don’t let Purdue’s record fool you. They’re a very good football team that almost beat Notre Dame last week. Senior QB Rob Henry is going to have a good game. I’m only worried about their ability to close out games. Wisconsin coming off an absolutely brutal loss from the Refs. Joel Stave with revenge on his mind will lead Wisconsin to victory. Wisconsin over Purdue 38-26.

Michigan at Connecticut. Big game for both teams. Make or break for both. UCONN doesn’t want to start off 0-3 and Michigan has a chance to move up into the top 10. Honestly Devin Gardner and Jeremy Gallon will go crazy. Michigan over Connecticut 43-12.

Projected Top 25:

1. Alabama

2. Oregon

3. Clemson

4. Ohio State

5. Louisville

6. LSU

7. FSU

8. Texas A&M

9. Georgia

10. Michigan

11. South Carolina

12. OK ST

13. UCLA

14. Miami

15. Oklahoma

16. Stanford

17. Northwestern

18. Washington

19. ASU

20. Wisconsin

21. Ole Miss

22. Baylor

23. Notre Dame

24. Fresno State

25. Texas Tech

* Stanford taking the biggest dip from 5-16.

That’s all folks. Next blog, next week.
