Saturday’s College Football Key Matchups And Predictions

Many great conference games Saturday in College Football, but I’ll break down the 2 most important ones. Followed by a projected Top 25 AP Poll.

Let’s start out with the game of the week at Death Valley. Two top 5 teams both in the ACC square off. #5 Florida State at #3 Clemson. This is clearly the battle of the quarterbacks and none other than that. The freshman, Jameis Winston vs the senior, Tajh Boyd. Both are putting up Heisman like numbers and trying to make a case for the National Championship game. Clemson will live and die on how well their secondary is able to contain Winston. If they can’t contain him, they’ll lose. It’s really that simple. Florida State’s offense and defense are too good for them to not take advantages of mistakes. Overall I think Clemson’s defense plays a sloppy game in a defeat of 52-37 and Jameis Winston has 7-Total Touchdowns.

Now we head out west to Stanford for a huge Pac-12 game. #9 UCLA at #12 Stanford. Stanford is coming off a heartbreaking loss to unranked Utah, and UCLA is coming off a lucky win vs Cal. The reason I say lucky is because they ran it 25 times and only had 50 yards. Cal made them one dimensional, except they’re really good in the passing game. Speaking of Heisman, Brett Hundley has played absolutely out of his mind this season. Stanford has to keep Hundley off the field if they want to win, do what they do best and throw the ball down the field. I say UCLA upsets Stanford 28-24. Brett Hundley throws for 400 yards in the victory. The reason why I said its an upset is because Stanford is a better team, but they won’t show that this Saturday.

Projected Top 25:
1. Alabama
2. Oregon
3. Ohio State
4. Florida State
5. Louisville
6. LSU
7. Texas A&M
8. UCLA
9. Miami
10. Clemson
11. South Carolina
12. Baylor
13. Mizzou
14. Texas Tech
15. Fresno State
16. Oklahoma
17. Virginia Tech
18. Washington
19. Stanford
20. Georgia
21. Northern Illinois
22. Washington
23. Nebraska
24. Wisconsin
25 Auburn
