You get the feeling right off the bat in tonight’s MTV’s The Challenge: Free Agents “Stripes”, that this whole episode is going to be about earning your right to be in The Challenge. Jordan let’s us know that he’s feeling very confident (even though he hasn’t preformed that well so far), and that Bananas thinks Jordan is a little too cocky.
The name of the challenge tonight was “Piggy Back”. Two teams of 10 had to cross from one end to the other of a suspended platform with hanging ropes. Each player has to touch each rope with both hands, as well as using the other players to step across. The team that gets the most across in the fastest amount of time, is safe from elimination.
Johnny (captain) – Theresa, Zack, Cara, Jordan, Jonna, Leroy, Jessica, Swift, Devyn
Camila (captain) – Bananas, Laurel, CT, Nani, Cohutta, Aneesa, Isaac, Preston, Jasmine
Johnny, Zack, Cara, Leroy and Laurel, Isaac, Preston, Couhutta made it across.
Both teams managed to get 4 players across, but Preston failed to get both hands on the final rope, thus not counting. Johnny’s team came away with the victory.
Back at the house, the victorious team seems pretty decided upon putting Bananas in the elimination as well as Theresa pulling everyone together to vote in Laurel.
At the elimination, everyone starts voting for Laurel and Theresa backs out of her pick since it was clear that Laurel was already going to get voted in. I personally thought that was a good strategy at the time, but we quickly find out after the vote that it wasn’t such a hot idea.
When it comes time for the guys vote, it comes down to Jordan as the deciding vote as to who goes in. Bananas or Isaac. Jordan tells Bananas, “it’s time to earn your stripes”, for whatever reason, and puts him in. Now we have two of the biggest favorites in the elimination challenge.

Back in the house, Devyn confronts Theresa about not voting for Laurel and then goes and tells Laurel that Theresa was the ring leader in getting her voted in.

The two Elimination Challenges we have are Laurel vs Jasmine and Bananas vs Isaac. The game is “Balls in”. We have seen this one before. There’s a goal in the middle of a circle and you need to score. If the defender knocks the ball out, or knocks the offensive player out of the ring, the point is over. Each player is on offense 5 times.
Laurel vs Jasmine was the biggest mismatch in the history of The Challenge. Laurel is probably about 5-8 and 150 lbs, while Jasmine says she’s 92 lbs and can’t be taller than 4-10. Laurel toyed with her and even let Jasmine score a point out of pure sportsmanship. It wasn’t all nicey nice considering she launched Jasmine out of the ring on a fly. Laurel with the easy win.

Bananas vs Isaac had the potential to be interesting considering Isaac is in pretty good shape. Ehh, it hardly was. Bananas was running on astroturf while Isaac was on ice. If you get juked out on sand, just pack up and go home. Even though Isaac managed to score one hell of a point by out muscling Bananas, he looked just pathetic. Bananas with the victory.

After Bananas won, he punted his helmet and started talking shit to Jordan, “You won’t just be missing a hand, I’m gonna take your fucking head off!” Jeez Bananas. Going after a guy’s handicap? That’s one of the lowest things I’ve ever heard on the show. Although he apologized when they got back to this house, I’ve lost a bit of respect for Bananas after that. I’m glad that Jordan took it in stride and let Bananas know, “I WILL SEND YOU HOME!!”.
