In tonight’s episode of MTV’s The Challenge Free Agents, the title of the episode, “Pride Before The Wall” could never have been more true. Without giving away any spoilers too early…we obviously start off with Jordan and Laurel kissing in the pool as everyone talks about how arrogant Jordan is. Especially Bananas. Blah blah blah, yes we know. Then Bananas gives us another quality, way below the belt quote as he’s rehashing something from last season, “The only mysterious thing about you is your four missing fingers”. I lose more and more respect for Bananas as the weeks go on.
When the group gets the text from TJ describing their challenge, they are told to get ready for a Uruguayan BBQ. So obviously everyone assumes it’s going to be an eating contest where they have to eat everything and anything from brains to some animal’s scrotum. Seems logical, but they couldn’t have been farther from what was actually going to happen. In this individual game, the girls and then the guys, had to roll along an obstacle course on the beach while encased in saran wrap. This was one of the funniest challenges I have ever seen.
In the girls race, the only two that had any clue were Laurel and Cara. The two of them were the only ones who could get their momentum going and move through the course. Naturally when Devyn tried to roll across the “grill”, her boobs got wedged in between the slats. When they come to the finish line, both girls struggled to get up on the “bun”, but in the end it was Laurel who finally got on for the win.

In the guys race, Johnny and Zach were the head of the class. Zach, who admittedly is claustrophobic, gave this a hell of a shot. Him and Johnny were neck and neck the last third of the race, but once again, it was a battle of who could get up onto the bun. Johnny was the one to prevail.
The bottom three in the race were automatically put into the draw. For the girls it was Jonna, Nany and Devyn. And for the guys it was Jordan, Leroy and Preston.
Back at the house, Johnny immediately says he’s going to put in Bananas when talking with Laurel and Jordan. Johnny did it last time, to he had to do it again, plus he says he did it for his boy Jordan. When the crew goes out to the bar that night, Aneesa approaches Laurel to see where she stands and to plead her case to not get voted in. It was so pathetic and Laurel called her out on it. “You are a terrible sales person”, Laurel says to Aneesa. I chuckled a bit. It was so true and the fact that Aneesa had a few beverages already, her whole pitch came out so goofy.
At the vote Bananas and Aneesa get voted in. I thought Laurel might go with Theresa, but I think she knows that Aneesa is so emotionally fragile, that she could implode.
After the votes, Jordan gets caught up in his arrogance and gets talked into flipping all three cards at the draw so that he could “send Bananas home”. It could prove to be the dumbest move in Challenge history, or the dumbest. Either way, I love the move. It’s putting your money where your mouth is and not backing down. Good for him.
At the draw, Jonna selects the kill card and will face Aneesa, and Jordan kept true to his word and flipped all the cards. For those scoring at home, the first card was blank and well as the second. Just something to keep in mind.

Tonight’s elimination challenge was “Wrecking Wall”. This is the game where there is a 30 foot high wall made of drywall, and the players have to punch/kick/elbow holes in it and climb up to the top and ring the bell. Jonna has done this before, which may give her an advantage over Aneesa. Naaaaaa, it didn’t. Aneesa was just so much stronger than her and was able to mash her way through the drywall with ease, sending Jonna home. As for the epic battle between Jordan and Bananas…it was a great race until Jordan slipped and fell about three-quarters of the way up. It was a really close race up to that point and it’s a shame that Jordan slipped. I would have been great to see how close it would have actually been if he didn’t fall. Either way, it’s just another strong player that bites the dust.

Of course after the elimination, Laurel had tears in her eyes and Bananas tries hard to be a total douchebag to her. But good for Laurel. She didn’t stick around for the bashing of Jordan that went on in the house.
