Do you have plans tonight? CANCEL THEM! Wouldn’t you rather watch two of the most under-performing teams in the NBA face off on prime time television on TNT? What?! You wouldn’t?! What’s wrong with you? Didn’t you know that this is a match up of the 3-13 New York Knicks vs. the 5-13 Brooklyn Nets? Read the rest of this entry »

So we just had two episodes of side story about what the Governor’s been up to and what did we discover? Absolutely nothing. He’s still the same bat shit Governor from last season except this time, he has a motive for being bat shit crazy. He wants to protect his adopted family! Man, when they find out that you occasionally flip your lid, they won’t want to be around you at all. Those chess games with that little girl? Gone. Tapping her nurse mom? Sayonara. You can kiss all that good bye, Brian. They’re going to find out. And guess who’s going to tell them? Rick and stuff.  Read the rest of this entry »

Ok we get it, the Mets have stunk for 5 years so you’re broken, sad, angry and don’t know what to do with your life to fill the void. It’s cool, but this in no way means that the best way to go about coping with the failures of this team is to sit home and hate every move the team makes whether it is positive or negative, and while you’re at it hate on other fans of the team for being optimistic or dare I say rational about the situation at hand. The Mets fanbase has become a divided place of logic and sense.   Read the rest of this entry »

More like Thor: The Dark Loki

More like Thor: The Dark Loki

Some minor spoilers and all that (WARNING)

So I decided to do a movie review, because why not? I went to go see Thor: The Dark World last night. The first Thor movie was good but not great, I was largely unimpressed.  I see Thor as a character that can only have so many cool things to do before you’re like “Okay, I am done with this guy.” But I have to say this movie is pretty damn awesome.

Dwight lost and I’m so happy that he lost.

A lot has happened since the last edition of The Pick & Troll. Tyson Chandler went down and thus so did the the morale of Knicks Nation, the 76ers cooled off, and Dwight Howard lost his first matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers. Forget all of that though. That’s what the World Wide Leader wants you to talk about. I want to talk to you guys about what interested me about the first two weeks of the NBA season so far… Read the rest of this entry »

Last season, your boy kind of slacked with the NBA updates. Yeah, yeah, you can judge me later. This year is a new year though. I’ve decided to roll out a segment that I like to call The Pick and Troll. Pretty much, I “pick” the things that I think have been cool about recent NBA happenings and I “troll” the things that I feel like are deserving of hate. We all know how much I like to hate on things. So without further ado, let’s go on with the show! Read the rest of this entry »

Total Sports Blog NBA Preview

October 30, 2013 by

The NBA season started yesterday but that doesn’t mean that TSB can’t roll out their preview in Baggydizzle style (a day later). Time to drop some predictions! As a heads up, the numbers in parenthesis to the right of each team stand for my prediction of what seed they will be in the playoffs. On to the predictions! Read the rest of this entry »

Last week, yours truly got invited to a Jabra event promoting the company’s Revo wireless headphones and Solemate speakers at PIPS in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It was a well put together event complete with free booze and activities like ping pong and flip cup. Actually, I roasted the Jabra representative there in a game of ping pong. Let’s be real. Really did you think she’d be a match for me when you put a paddle in my hand? DJ All-En1 spun some tunes on the 1s and 2s during the evening that flipped back and forth between modern hip hop and R & B as well as some classics. The nicest touch of the whole event was the fact that The Bushwick Collective was there to customize people’s speakers or headphones. I had Zimad graf up my Revo headphones and I will say that I was extremely pleased. Overall, it was an entertaining party…..but does the product hold up? Read the rest of this entry »

Wednesday, the infamous Mets twitter psychopath @Danxtanna (I will refrain from using his real name since enough media outlets have already leaked it) was arrested for making threats against the Mets, their players, and their stadium.   Read the rest of this entry »

Hasn’t Kanye West learned to proofread his tweets? After Jimmy Kimmel parodied his recent interview with BBC 1, Kanye went absolutely bonkers. Kimmel didn’t really make fun of him as much as he just repeated what he said, because it was pretty hysterical on its own. Below is one of the pictures tweeted by Kanye, and check out the full video and tweets after the jump.
