Dwight Howard may portray himself to be a squeaky-clean, ultra religious professional athlete, but the fact is he’s got a few illegitimate children by several women. I don’t blame Howard or fault him in any way. He’s a well known professional athlete, women are going to throw themselves at him all the time whenever he goes out, and not everyone has the restraint of Tim Tebow. Things happen. He’s not the first pro athlete to have a few baby mamas and he won’t be the last. At least one of Dwight Howard’s baby mamas happens to be smoking hot fitness model, Hope Alexa. What a wild week 6 in the NFL, as the BYE teams cashed in a perfect 4-0 ATS. There have been some key injuries the past two weeks leaving the Super Bowl run wide open for teams.
– The Star* rating is how much I like that team against the spread. 14* is my favorite pick.
– The bold team indicates the team I like against the spread. (ATS)
– The CAPITAL team is the home team.

This is an article, I wrote on the day Dan Wheldon passed away, October 16, 2011. I can’t believe it’s been one year since the IndyCar Series lost the driver nicknamed Lionheart. The death of Wheldon affected the entire motorsports community and reminded everyone that despite the safety innovations, racing is still very dangerous. With Wheldon’s passing, IndyCar Series announced three days later that the new Dallara chassis would be named in honor of Dan Wheldon, who did mush of the testing for the new chassis prior to his passing. Now, take a step back in time as Total Sports Blog passes tribute to an IndyCar Series legend. Read the rest of this entry »

We are halfway in the 2012 Chase for the Sprint Cup. In just five weeks, we will crown a new NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion. Will it be the driver from Michigan or will Jimmie Johnson win his sixth championship?
The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stayed in their own backyard, Charlotte Motor Speedway, this weekend for some Saturday night racing. While it was the points leader, Brad Keselowski, who dominated much of the race, in the end it was Clint Bowyer who made it to victory lane. Bowyer had to have his Toyota pushed to victory lane after running out of gas. Read the rest of this entry »

While earlier in the weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway, it was NASCAR’s Most Popular driver, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., making all the news as he would sit out this race and at Kansas Speedway a week from Sunday. Saturday night on the track, it was Clint Bowyer who was all the talk as he won the fourth race in the Chase, the Bank of a America 500.
The win was Bowyer’s third of the season, but his second win that required him to stretch his fuel mileage to collect the checkered flag. Bowyer ran out of fuel while doing a celebratory burnout and his No. 15 5-Hour Energy Benefitting Avon Foundation for Women crew pushed his Toyota to victory lane. Read the rest of this entry »
When I first got on Twitter about two and a half years ago, I tried to follow every athlete imaginable. Of course I thought it would be awesome to see what my favorite people in sports had to say, and hopefully interact with them. I quickly figured out that following pro athletes is just dumb. They rarely ever have anything interesting to say or they are just sending out links to something they are sponsoring. But there is one athlete I have kept following… Read the rest of this entry »
