Robert Griffin III aka RG3 aka Bob Griffin is one of the most electrifying players in the NFL. The rookie Washington Redskins QB has made an immediate impact, proving the ‘Skins were wise to move up to draft him. He met his fiancée, Rebecca Liddicoat, at Baylor and proposed to her in October of 2011. Isn’t that cute. Read the rest of this entry »
The first Freshman to ever win the Heisman, Johnny Manziel is having a hell of a year. Of course he’s going to have a smoking hot girlfriend. If there’s one thing I’ve learned while doing these WAGs Wednesday posts, it’s that every decent quarterback (except for Matt Ryan) has a dimepiece WAG.
Wrestling, whether it is amateur or professional, is a BIG deal throughout the Midwest. Pro wrestling fans have their favorites. I also have a few favorites of my own. My list of favorites include: The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Mick Foley, Rob Van Dam, Jerry Lynn and Darin Corbin. You might be asking, “who is Darin Corbin?” For those of you not familiar with the many independent pro wrestling promotions throughout the country, you are missing out! Corbin has had a successful career working his way through the ranks. Corbin is well traveled, but is best known for his work with 3xwrestling, Midwest Pro Wrestling, and St. Louis Anarchy promotions along with many others. Corbin is highly respected for his mat work and mic skills. I promise you if you take the time to check out his work you’ll have reason to follow independent wrestling! Cheer or booo…your still cheering! Read the rest of this entry »

In tradition of the holiday season, I’m in the mood for giving. All season I have provided picks and insight for the BCS games and have neglected the lesser known and/or lesser successful schools of college football. That’s about to change. Since we’re going to have the next month full of bowl games before the ‘real’ matchups are played, I figured I’d give a quick take on the bowl games most people have never even heard of. Stay tuned for the BCS!
This submission comes from loyal TSB reader, Brian Tully. Kyle Rush and Phillip Jackson describe what may be the worst free throw ever shot in the history of the game of basketball, at any level, ever.

TotalSportsBlog.com has a new layout and looks amazing. I decided to start fresh and change-up my article and style of picking a little bit. I was currently 17-7-1 on my locks and exactly .500 on the year so far. Its crunch time in the NFL and now is when you start to see the serious football unfold.
Heading into Week 14, it’s time we take a look back on the NFL season so far and begin the debate of who this year’s NFL Comeback Player of the Year is. The NFL Comeback Player of the Year Award has been given out after every season since 1972 (except for 1985). The recipient of this award either missed an entire season, suffered a serious injury, or just plain sucked in the previous season. Last year’s winner, Matthew Stafford, received 21 out of 50 possible votes finishing 6 votes ahead of the runner-up. This year should be much closer in what is basically a 2 horse race: Peyton Manning and Adrian Peterson. I’ll plead my case for both players after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »
