The following GIF is not for the faint of heart.  On Wednesday night, Atlanta Braves pitcher Tim Hudson was making a play at 1st base when his ankle was demolished by Mets outfielder Eric Young JR.  With Hudson’s foot on the right side of the bag, there was pretty much nothing Young JR could have done to avoid injuring him.  Read the rest of this entry »

BP_VEwhCUAAnQCFHistory was made on Wednesday night as the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series took to the half-mile dirt track that is Eldora Speedway. The MudSummer Classic was the first NASCAR sanctioned event on dirt in 43 years.

Once the checkered flag dropped and the dirt settled, it was Austin Dillon who captured the victory in the MudSummer Classic.

Dillon was the first to ply Eldora Speedway in October in a clandestine test conducted by NASCAR, the first out onto the moistened soil in practice on Tuesday, and the first driver to etch his name on the trophy. Read the rest of this entry »

Tyrann Mathieu

Tyrann Mathieu took college football by storm two years ago, and was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in this year’s NFL draft. Clearly, the guy can play football.

What you probably didn’t know though was that the Honey Badger can play some basketball too.

Mathieu posted this tweet yesterday with a video of him playing some pickup basketball, and he actually looked pretty good. Check out the video after the jump.

Teammates are usually friends, and it seems natural for a third baseman and a shortstop to be pals, but the left side of the Texas Rangers infield takes this friendship to a new level. Adrian Beltre and Elvis Andrus have clearly become very good friends, and you can tell just from watching them on the field.

Aside from being friends, Beltre and Andrus form one of the best third base/shortstop combos in baseball.

Check out this video of Beltre and Andrus showing the world how good of friends they are.
