onight the thirst was in full effect on MTV’s The Challenge: Rivals

If there’s one thing on Rivals 2 that I wish there was more of, it’s the relationship between Diem and CT. The amount of coverage it’s getting is starting to borderline on ESPN’s obsession with Tim Tebow. CT is the most polarizing figure in the game, but enough is enough.
We open with CT and Diem at the pool, chatting about how Diem has been talking to Wes, and it seems like he doesn’t mind CT. CT tells Diem, “I like having Wes as a teammate. No sexual tension.” Oh CT, no matter what the situation, you gotta keep tryin’ to lay the pipe. I’m sure by the time Rivlas 2 is over with, you’ll get it in tho.
Back in the kitchen Preston lets us in on his view of his relationship with Knight. ”The relationship between Knight and I is like a bad case of the herpes. It’s gonna come back, but you are always stuck with it”. Pretty good analogy Preston. I still don’t get the tension between you two at all, but that’s fine.

If there was any doubt to as who the stars of the club scene were going to be tonight, you guessed it. CT and Diem. After a few cocktails, Diem and CT kiss. Fantastic. Can we please move on from this snooze-fest of a story-line? Speaking of snooze fest, CT thinks he’s gettin’ it in tonight. He brings Diem back to “bunkbed village”, and starts to tidy up for her and before he knows it, she’s snoring her face off in his bed. Hahaha. So CT decides to make a “Diem Card”, because he knows that she’s not going to remember anything that happened when she wakes up in the morning. And without much shock to anyone, she doesn’t. Here’s a news flash for the 25-20 crowd. If you are still getting black-out drunk at this time, you need to seriously re-evaluate your life. It makes for great TV, but if you are in a competition for $350k, sober the fuck up please.
Tonight’s challenge is called “Rampage”. Two teams will square off at a time and see how many balls they can get into the basket at the other side in three minutes. Each team will start atop of a ramp and run down through the path of the other team and up to the other ramp in an attempt to get the balls in the basket. Full pads and helmets were needed for this one, as collisions were going to happen, and they did. Incase you can’t visualize what this looks like, it’s just a giant X, with water in the middle of it. Last place for the guys was going go the Jungle. First place was automatically going to the finals. Needless to say, this was a critical elimination.

First heat was Marlon and Jordan against Johnny and Frank. It was real interesting to see how out of shape Johnny really is. For how big and muscular the guy is, it’s clear as day that he’s never seen a treadmill in his life. After running out of gas, he almost passed out on the ramp, needing medical attention. When he finally got his wind, we went over to the side and vomited everywhere. Next Cara Maria and Cooke faced off against Paul and Emily. This wasn’t even a contest. Cara was more interested in her pads slipping on and off than actually competing. She stood in the middle of the course just frozen a few times, asking to be plowed over. Jemmye and Camila then squared off against Diem and Aneesa. Watching this was beyond pathetic. The only ounce of athleticism out there was Camila, and that’s a sad state of events. Aneesa’s fat ass could barely get up the ramp. She should be embarrassed. the final heat was CT and Wes taking on Preston and Knight. Knight, being the hockey player that he is, was not afraid to get physical. And on the first pass down the ramp, he lined up CT and gave him and good shot that sent him into the water and into the side of the ramp. Well played Knight, CT even had respect after that move. Aside from that move from Knight, CT and Wed put on a clinic. They were done with all 20 balls with about 30 seconds to spare.
CT and Wes locked up their spot in the finals with a dominating performance and they let everyone know about it. Especially Johnny. They were relentless with rubbing it in his face and honestly, it was funny as hell. Johnny shit the bed and couldn’t take the heat. As for who’s going into the Jungle…that would be Knight and Preston. They just don’t have any athleticism. Paula and Emily came out with the victory for the girls and collected $1,000 along with controlling the order for the next challenge.
Back at the deliberation, it wasn’t much of a secret as to whom the girls were going to vote in. Since there wasn’t much suspense, it was Jordan and Marlon just for the fact that they are the rookies. Which they expected. What wasn’t expected is what happened after the vote. CT and Wes got into it REAL heavily with Johnny. Instead of being humble about their win earlier in the day, CT and Wes went on and on again, pushing Johnny’s buttons. This turned ugly in a hurry as Wes semi head butted Johnny and he shoved him pretty good. CT came in to defend Wes and Johnny quickly retreated as Wes rattled off his portfolio to him. Wes is such a little bitch it’s not even funny. He had the balls to mock Johnny for throwing up after Kenny had to literally carry him up a mountainside on his back the last final he was in. After all is calmed down, we cut back to CT and Diem! I know, I was hoping the same thing too. Where’s the sarcastic font? CT tells Diem all she has to do is not come in last in the next challenge and she’s in the finals because he’s not going to vote her in.
In the Jungle, Marlon and Jordan faced off against Knight and MArlon in “Breaking on Through”. This was the game in which Zach got his team DQ’d for not alternating who breaks though the floors on the tower. From the get-go this wasn’t even a contest. Both teams got though the first floor no problem, but when they go to the chain link floor on the second level, Knight was unable to break through the chains as Marlon and Jordan cruised into the finals. Way to go rookies!
