Reactions:
Triple H going after the smarks in the opening promo made me smirk: “Me and my friend Mark”
Brie Bella bought a front row ticket Smackdown vs. Raw style tonight. Divas storylines have surprisingly been pretty good lately. They did a good job of setting up Brie vs. Steph at Summerslam. It’s funny how Brie calling Steph a bitch still gets such a reaction. At least Eva Marie couldn’t botch a beatdown? This guy’s reaction was priceless:

And Nikki Bella was obviously the highlight of the night https://totalsportsblog.com/2014/07/wwe-diva-nikki-bella-nip-slip-monday-night-raw-nsfw-image/
Damien Sandow coming out pretending to be Lebron tonight in Miami was to be expected. Cheap heat and I still feel bad for Sandow.
It only makes sense for the Bray Wyatt/Chris Jericho feud to continue. Since Jericho won the first match my money’s on Wyatt winning a normal match at Summerslam and winning a stipulation match after that
I’m kind of disappointed they took Ziggler out of the love triangle storyline, but I can’t complain as long as he keeps putting on matches like he did tonight. I don’t mind The Miz winning The Intercontinental Title because the past few years that’s been a kiss of death (see: Big E).
Like I said last week, hopefully Cesaro is better off without being a Paul Heyman guy.
I believe this is Emma’s first appearance since shoplifting the iPad case.
I didn’t think Paige was going to turn on AJ this soon. At least this sets up a rematch between the two for Summerslam.
It used to be that jobbers who were never on TV would have a last match on Raw and get released the next day. Can’t say anybody would be surprised if this was the case with Zack Ryder.
I wish WWE would do more things like the Heath Slater-Flo Rida rematch segment from Wrestlemania 28. I wonder who it’s up to when they decide to be consistent or pretend things never happened. I’m not sure why they have all these production and budget cuts but decide having Flo Rida performing live on Raw is a good idea. I guess kids like Flo Rida?

I didn’t realize how much heat Steph had on her until the segment when she was getting arrested. Kudos to Steph for how well she plays the heel role. Where’s David Otunga when you need him?
Joey Mercury sighting!
Where the hell did Xavier Woods come from to cut that promo? Hopefully this leads to a Kofi heel turn because that is beyond overdue. Nation of Domination 2.0?
I’m actually surprised they had Rusev and Lana on TV tonight after all the negative attention he got and figured they might give him a night off. At least they had their plan and they’re sticking to it.
Brock Lesnar being John Cena’s opponent came as a surprise to nobody, everyone and their mother knew this was going to the Summerslam main event. I am interested in how they book the match, we’ll see in the coming weeks.
