Stewart Haas Racing is moving forward since their inception in 2009.  They have moved from a two car team to a three car team.  Owner, Tony Stewart, has added arguably the most popular driver in the sport.  There is a lot of pressure on this team this year.  Can they live up to the hype of the dominate three car team?  Can they compete with the Hendricks, Roush, and Joe Gibbs Racing of the world?  Can Tony Stewart get back to his championship ways?  Can Ryan Newman rebound from a sub par season in 2012?  Can Danica not let the relationship with fellow rookie of the year contender Ricky Stenhouse Jr. effect her?  Will the Kevin Harvick to SHR in 2014 distract the team this year?

If the Super Bowl was decided by how hot the starting QB’s WAG is, this year would be a tough one to call.  Joe Flacco’s wife Dana Grady is the beautiful woman you bring home to mom, while Colin Kaepernick’s girlfriend J. Marie is the girl you search for at 2AM on a Saturday with the Google Image filters off.  I’ll let you be the judge.  Check out some photos of this week’s Total Sports WAG, Colin Kaepernick’s dimepiece J.Marie:

Last season, Hendrick Motosports was able to put all four of their drivers into the Chase for the Sprint Cup so when you think of Hendrick Motorsports, you definitely think of dominance. They’ve been able to handle any and everything that NASCAR has thrown at them, and with a new car and a level playing field, expect HMS to soar back up to the top.

Hendrick Motorsports welcomes all four drivers back this season and to expect anything less than a championship from this great stable of drivers would be absurd. Read the rest of this entry »

Joe Flacco Wedding

I don’t know much about Joe Flacco’s wife Dana, but any woman who poses for a picture like this on her wedding day is a keeper in my book.  Most of the photos (if not all) come from Joe and Dana’s wedding album by Jason Prezant Photography.  Check out some more photos of the Baltimore Ravens Quarterback and his wife, Dana Grady Flacco: Read the rest of this entry »

Chris Brown

Scumbag extraordinaire Chris Brown is back at it again.  Allegedly, Breezy and his entourage engaged in a scuffle with openly gay recording artist Frank Ocean outside of a music studio over a parking spot, resulting in injuries to Ocean’s hand.  I say “allegedly” because the investigation is pending, but there’s no doubt that Chris Brown is Grade-A scum.

Brown is still on probation for turning this: Read the rest of this entry »

re-post, because the world needs to know how annoying ESPN is right now

Let me start off by saying I have a lot of respect for the Shaun Whites and the Tony Hawks of the world who can do ridiculous things with a skateboard/snowboard/whatever they’re using to pull off these stunts.  But that’s all they are.  Stunts.  Tricks.  Dare-devil acts that ESPN tries to cram down our throats as “sports” with events like the Winter and Summer X-Games.  They’re not just sports to the big corporations looking to profit off of their popularity, they’re EXTREME sports.  Give me a break.

Between the Winter and Summer X-Games, there are 32 current events and 19 that have been removed for one reason or another.  I’ve picked out a few of my “favorites” (ie how the hell is this a sport?).  The following are actual events, I’m not making this up:

Top 10 Least Athletic Sports

A debate rages on where to draw the line between what is technically a sport and what is a hobby (with golf and auto racing fans most adamantly defending their sport and athletes).  As opposed to getting into that quagmire, let’s assume that everything is a sport that has some combination of strength and skill (so NASCAR and golf count, but chess, video games, and babysitting do not).

(ranked from most athletic at #10 to the least athletic at #1) Read the rest of this entry »

Ray Lewis will be doing his final dance next Sunday at the Super Bowl in New Orleans. But there are some places I don't think he should be visiting.

The two main story lines for the upcoming Super Bowl are going to be shoved down your throat so hard, that you are going to need a skill-crane lowered down your esophagus to dislodge them.  If they can’t be removed the way they went in, The “Harbowl” and Ray Lewis are going to set your hemorrhoids on fire on the way out.  There’s no tub of Preparation-H big enough to smear on your anus to put that fire out.
