WWE Darren Young

WWE Superstar Darren Young was stopped this morning at LAX International Airport for an impromptu interview by one of the TMZ paparazzi. The gentleman from TMZ asked him if a gay wrestler could succeed in the WWE.  Darren gave an answer that may be groundbreaking in the world of professional wrestling.

Check out what he said after the jump.

Taekwondo

I’ve come across this video a few times today and can’t stop giggling.  From the multiple attempts to break the board, the jeering from the crowd, to the two guys holding the boards and giggling, this is internet gold.

The Taekwondo “master” is some Scottish dude ( I had no idea the Scots were into martial arts) who clearly does not have his “A” game going on.  I’m sure if there were 12 kids standing around, laughing at me after not being able to break a board on the 14th time, that I’d start to panic as well.

The best part of the video is when he actually splinters the board and… just watch the video after the jump, it’s too funny.

Ervin Santana

This morning I came across this gem from the official twitter account of Kansas City Royals pitcher Ervin Santana. Whoever his special effects guy is, we need to hire him. Check out the tweet he sent this morning, along with the short video after the jump…

I’ll be the first to admit it. I couldn’t care less about the Tour de France.

With that being said, I absolutely love the crazy fan that decided it was a good idea to chase some of the racers up one of the hills carrying a stuffed pig in one hand and what appears to be a duck head in the other.

Oh yeah, and the fan did all of this in his underwear too.

Check out the video of this crazy fan after the jump.

MLB Fan Cave Spoof

We take a break from my usual ranting and kvetching about the Mets and other sports related debacles to bring you my newest sketch video which lampoons the MLB  Fan Cave.  If you’re unfamiliar with it then check out this site http://mlb.mlb.com/fancave/  In the actual MLB fan cave between 10-15 fans are chosen to spend the year watching games and hanging out with players but for the purposes of this video there is only one lucky or not so lucky fan who is chosen.  Enjoy!

Mets4yearold

Too many times I have seen people I know jump on bandwagons, ditching te teams they “loved”. I might dislike fans of rival teams, but I hate flip floppers and front-runners.

This video is hilarious and definitely worth your time. Read the rest of this entry »

Root, root, root, root for the home clothes!

Root, root, root, root for the home clothes!

As the 2013 baseball season enters its second month, New York Mets first baseman Ike Davis looks as though his major league career might not be long for this Earth.  This is the second straight year that Ike has gotten off to a horrifically brutal start.  Last year it was slightly understandable as his ankle wasn’t fully healed and he had a slight bout with Valley Fever.   But this season after posting better than a .300 average in spring training (I know spring training doesn’t mean much.)  it looked like Ike would be closer to where he was before his ankle injury in 2011. I know what you are thinking, Gangnam Style is so six months ago.  But I came across this video, thought it was amusing, and decided to share it with you. Dodgers pitcher Hyun Jin Ryu, who is a native South Korean, which is where the dance and song originated, seems to be in some sort of a Talent Show, and recruits Matt Kemp and Clayton Kershaw to join him with the dance. Enjoy!

Sports really are great sometimes. At Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Nebraska on Saturday, the Nebraska Cornhusker football team held their annual Spring Game in front of over 60,000 people. The best moment of the day was when coach Bo Pelini subbed seven-year-old Jack Hoffman into the game. Hoffman is on a two-week break from chemotherapy, because he is battling with cancer.

Unless you were living under a rock yesterday, you know that #15 seed Florida Gulf Coast upset #2 seed Georgetown in the first round of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. This was just one of many upsets early on in this year’s tournament, including #14 seed Harvard shocking #3 seed New Mexico for their first win in NCAA Tournament history. In the FGCU upset there was a alley-oop dunk thrown down by Chase Fieler that will go down in history.
